Outcome of Prohibition
After the outbreaks of people going against the Amendment, Prohibition was the first, and only, Amendment to ever be repealed. On December 5, 1933, the 21st Amendment was added to the constitution that stated that the 18th Amendment was repealed making alcohol legal again. With the stock market crash, and the Great Depression starting, the government realized that people needed the jobs and they figured that making alcohol would create more jobs for people and they could also put a tax on it that would make more money.
